The Astra Nullus is an ugly, cobbled-together salvage hauler with three mismatched computer systems and a bad habit of making hard landings. Aboard is Tovin, the man who built the Leviathan facility before it was stolen from him. Now he's going back to take it over, with Tamra, Jax, Briar, and their glitching AI, Alice.

Before they can take back Tovin’s work, they must build a believable cover story and pray that the ship—and the crew—holds together long enough for them to make the journey to Miduri.

Winning won’t be easy against an enemy who commands an army of loyal soldiers. The crew’s efforts are complicated by the actions of a spiteful rival captain with a grudge who is pursuing Tamra across the cosmos.
